1st Annual Gift of Sight Luncheon is a Huge Success!

Madison, Wisconsin ~ Nearly 150 attended the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin 1st Annual Eye Ball at The Glacier Canyon Lodge of the Wilderness, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin on December 8, 2007.  The Eye Ball featured dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and a Knight of Sight Award presentation!  

PDG Jerry Rabbach received the Knight of Sight Award for exemplifying the characteristics of a Knight of the Blind.  A member of the Watertown Lions Club for 34 years, Jerry has participated in all facets of Lionism.  He has been with the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin as Community Program Specialist since 2003.   Musical entertainment was provided by the Laurie Croasdale Quintet.

Funds raised support the mission of the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)3, (LEBW).  This diverse team of professionals and volunteers are dedicated to the mission of restoring the Gift of Sight through transplantation of corneas, research to advance the knowledge and treatment of eye diseases, and education to increase donations of human eyes after death. Serving the entire state of Wisconsin, the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin fulfills this mission by procuring, processing, and distributing eye tissue to corneal transplant surgeons, researchers, and teachers.   Equally important is our commitment to education through our network of medical professionals, Lions and Lioness Clubs, and other volunteers who give generously of their time, talent, and treasures.

Our ultimate goal is to improve people’s quality of life through the Gift of Sight.
